About the Role

The Northern Health Region is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Admitting Clerk to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet individuals and direct them to the appropriate contacts or service areas.
  • Provide basic information to clients and the public.
  • Obtain and process information necessary for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Operate the switchboard or telephone system.
  • Order office supplies and maintain work records and logs.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, send invoices, and receive and issue payments.
  • Perform clerical duties, including filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages effectively.
  • Calculate billing charges and perform data entry tasks.
  • Provide directory assistance and relay services to persons with disabilities.

Requirements

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

Computer and Technology Knowledge

  • Experience operating a switchboard (1-25 lines).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
