About the Job

As a Granite Cutter, you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your expertise will help us transform raw stone into beautiful, finished products that meet our customers' specifications. This is a permanent position with a full-time commitment of 35 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions.
• Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size, and type of goods produced.
• Check products for quality control to ensure they meet our high standards.
• Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to specific shapes or designs, producing a smooth finish.
• Perform ongoing machine adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
• Operate a stone-dressing lathe to sharpen and dress grindstones that grind logs into pulp.
• Drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
• Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases.
