Key Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns with professionalism and care.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Previous experience is an asset but not mandatory.

Certificates and Licenses

• Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
