Are you an experienced truck-trailer driver looking for a rewarding opportunity? At Freight Chain Inc., we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our transportation team. As a Truck-Trailer Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address customers' complaints or concerns with professionalism.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
  • Licenses: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Long-haul, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul experience.
  • Security and Safety: Valid passport, criminal record check, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract), and drug test.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks, and manage repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Cellular phone and steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organization, reliability, and being a team player.

Transportation/Travel Information

  • Drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel cross-border and overnight.
