About the Role
As a Structural Steel Drafter-Detailer, you will play a crucial role in preparing engineering designs and drawings that meet our clients' needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing engineering designs and detailed drawings
- Developing and preparing design sketches
- Creating construction specifications, cost estimates, and material estimates
- Consulting with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
Who We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 80 to 90 hours bi-weekly
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in manufacturing engineering technology/technician or equivalent experience
Essential Skills and Certifications
We are looking for candidates with the following certifications and skills:
- AutoCAD Certification
- Drafting (Architectural) Trade Certification
- Steel Detailing Certification
- Proficiency in manual drafting, free-hand drafting, shop drawings, and detailing drafting
- Knowledge of Tekla and Autodesk REVIT
