About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with special needs? L'Arche Halifax is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Group Home Workers to join our team! This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to support and empower clients in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and feeding.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, planning therapeutic diets and menus.
  • Implement behavior management programs and resolve conflict situations.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Administer medications and provide bedside care.
  • Assist clients in water activities, such as swimming.
  • Support clients in regular exercise and recreational activities.

Requirements
