Key Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Discuss work with supervisors to determine whether to repair or replace units.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service and road test motor vehicles.
• Estimate parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Coach and instruct apprentices in the trade.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Welding experience is an asset.
