About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time position where you will work 40 hours per week in our vibrant food and beverage plant located in Charlottetown, PE. As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize your food safety and handling skills to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials efficiently.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
  • Manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
  • Feed and unload processing machines to keep production flowing smoothly.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in their duties.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to uphold our cleanliness standards.

Work Environment

Our production facility operates in a cold/refrigerated environment, and you will be expected to perform repetitive tasks that require manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. The role demands physical stamina, as you will be standing for extended periods and may need to bend, crouch, or kneel.

Requirements

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
  • Certificates: Food Safety Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is required; a valid driver's license is necessary, although public transportation is available.
