About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Autobody Technician - Refinish to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall quality of our auto body repairs. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components.
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to prepare for repairs.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills; bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces to restore vehicle aesthetics.
  • Repair or replace interior components as needed.
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Mix paint, blend, and match colors for a seamless finish.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
  • Provide job training and support to junior technicians.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.

Qualifications

Education

  • Other trades certificate or diploma.

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification.
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification.

Experience

  • 5 years or more in a similar role.
  • Permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.
  • Language of work: English.
