Job DescriptionAs a Heli-Skiing Guest Services Host of Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing, you will be an ambassador for the company. You are our very first impression to our guests and the face of the company, welcoming our guests and helping with preparing them for their trip of a lifetime. Your main responsibilities will be our waiver presentation, organizing groups before departure, assisting with loading helicopters, and communicating logistics with the operations team, ensuring that our guests experience is world class.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

• Responsible for greeting guests on arrival at our Pemberton location.
• Coordinate guest lunches for transfers with a local business, including picking up, and delivering meals to the office, ensuring all dietary restrictions are accommodated.
• Preparing and printing luggage tags, while ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of luggage for each inbound and outbound helicopter.
• Ensuring capture of all guest information on arrival including but not limited to: all waivers of liability are signed and filed under each guest’s profile, credit card collection.
• Cleaning of guest welcome areas and staff offices
• Creating an exciting environment and to respond to guests with an emphasis on sales.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth operation through preparation and follow-up.
• Have a strong understanding of our program, tenure, & current conditions.Helping to start the sales process for rebooking and new packages.
• Show dedication to making every guest feel welcome in our surroundings
• Exceed guest expectations by providing personalised, efficient and courteous service
• Handle all lost and found items according to company policy
• Assist with administrative duties
• Coordinate and organize all freight moving to and from the lodge through the office, ensuring items are properly received, documented, and dispatched via air and ground.
• Must work in line with the safety and hygiene regulations set forth by Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing
• Operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the company
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to the above.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

• High School Diploma
• A passion for skiing or snowboarding
• Self-motivated, positive and driven attitude
• An impeccable attention-to-detail
• Strong ethics and honest
• An adept ability to work alone and in a team environment with an openness to working collaboratively
• A high level of adaptability and ability to work well under pressure

Experience in the Ski Industry and around Helicopters is not a must, but is considered an asset

• Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Must possess excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Responsible and dependable
• Additional language skills are an asset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Will be required to lift, bend and reach
• Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Note: Due to the nature of our business all members of the team may be required to take on additional responsibilities at times to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
