What You’ll Do
- Create high-quality character animation for an animated television series.
- Manage assigned shots, quotas, and daily priorities while keeping the production team informed of potential issues or delays.
- Clean up and prepare final shots for downstream departments.
- Participate in dailies and efficiently incorporate feedback from the Director and Animation Supervisor.
- Maintain consistency in character performance, model integrity, and established studio style across shots.
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to test assets, workflows, and processes.
- Use production management software to track progress and flag production issues.
- Troubleshoot rigging and asset issues and communicate them clearly to the technical team.
- Take on challenging or complex sequences as production needs arise.
- A strong demo reel showcasing character animation from professional and/or personal work.
- At least two years of professional experience in the animation or film industry.
- Previous experience working successfully within an animation studio production pipeline.
- A strong understanding of traditional animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, posing, staging, and appeal.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lip sync, acting, character performance, and visual storytelling.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- An open and flexible approach to feedback, learning, and new ideas.
- Professional experience using Adobe Animate. Strong animators with experience in other 2D animation software are also encouraged to apply.
- A degree or diploma in animation, or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience using Ayon.
- Experience working on preschool or children’s television productions.
- Experience animating technically challenging or performance-driven sequences.
