Warehouse Technician

Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. ("BGM"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Osisko Gold Group Inc. ("OGG"), is seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of its Cariboo Gold Project as a Warehouse Technician in Wells, BC. One of our core values is building and maintaining relationships that are based on reciprocity to ensure mutual benefits for all stakeholders and a legacy for future generations.This position will be primarily located in Wells, BC and will follow fourteen [14] days on and fourteen [14] days off work rotation.Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician is responsible for various tasks that keep a warehouse running smoothly. This includes receiving, storing, and shipping products, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities by optimizing productivity in accordance with goals and scheduling while demonstrating a strong personal commitment to safety and the environment. Main Responsibilities · Directs or delivers materials to designated areas on-site· Perform inventory cycle and month end counts· Properly label materials before received/stocked into respective storage locations· Ensure inventory transactions are recorded into the inventory management system· Document and maintain shipping and receiving records for products and materials· Picks and stages material for maintenance jobs· Shipping of materials including all Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements· Operate material handling equipment· Ensure safe and proper hoisting and lifting procedures are practiced· Follow proper receiving procedures when dealing with lost, damaged or miss shipped materials· Assist with developing warehouse, assembly of shelving/racking and other related duties· Ensure BGM assets are securely stored and accounted for· Providing timely customer service and assistance with orders, inquiries and concerns· Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery used for moving and storing materials. · Ensuring accuracy and quality of incoming and outgoing shipments. · Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. · Potentially leading or mentoring other warehouse associates. · Communicating effectively with team members and potentially with customers. · Identifying and resolving issues related to inventory, shipping, or other warehouse operations. Skills and Abilities Required · Excellent organizational skills· Knowledge of technology and machinery used for transporting or storing materials· Understanding of inventory· Awareness of Public Safety and Security measures in place to prevent injuries· Understanding of how to dispose of hazardous waste material in a safe manner· Ability to use computer technology to make labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage· Ability to work well with others Qualifications · Valid British Columbia or Interprovincial Parts and Warehousing Person Red Seal Trades Certification or equivalent experience is required· Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP software · Experience in Sage 300 would be an asset· Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record· Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Physical Abilities testing· Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience considered an asset· Able to drive a forklift· Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse and/or shipping & receiving role.· Proficient with Microsoft office· Comfortable performing heavy lifting and labour-intensive tasks.
