ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Execution
- Execute all on-site and off-site events, including festivals, markets, seasonal activations, and community events
- Coordinate logistics including permits, vendors, entertainment, staffing, transportation, and setup/tear-down
- Book and manage entertainment for events (musicians, performers, etc.)
- Lead on-site execution, ensuring events run smoothly and represent the brand effectively
- Track and report on event performance, including attendance, revenue, and ROI
- Manage and coordinate brand ambassadors for tastings, markets, and events
- Handle scheduling, training, communication, and performance expectations
- Ensure brand ambassadors represent Old Yale professionally and consistently
- Support the planning and coordinating of in-restaurant programming (live music, trivia nights, special events, giveaways)
- Work with Marketing Manager to align promotions with business goals, Hospitality and Sales
- Help ensure all promotions are effectively communicated and supported across marketing channels
- Assist with monitoring sales performance
- Assist in sourcing and coordinating promotional and operational items including giveaways, glassware, event materials, and other brand-related assets to support sales, events, and in-restaurant initiatives
- Support digital channels with updates (website, email, social) as needed
- Assist the Brand Coordinator with content capturing at events and activations
- Support campaign execution and general marketing initiatives
- Track key metrics including event profitability and provide to Marketing Manager
- Roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary to get the job done and complete other duties as required within the same scope and level
Qualifications
- Experience supporting or coordinating events, marketing, or hospitality operations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, reliable, and hands-on with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Customer-service mindset with a strong sense of brand representation
- Familiarity with social media, email marketing, or basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, Later etc.) is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid BC Driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and ability to travel
- Positive, collaborative approach to work and ability to function effectively as part of a team
HOURS AND TRAVELSome travel is required for this role with adequate notice. Travel may include attending events and visiting our restaurant locations in Abbotsford, BC, and Beaumont, AB.
This is a permanent, part-time position at up to 24 hours per week, typically Wednesday to Friday. Weekend or evening work may be required to support specific events.
