Reporting directly to the VP. Partnerships & Engagement, you will advance Platform Calgary’s corporate and event sponsorship portfolio through the development and execution of relevant sponsorship offerings and partnership strategies. We are looking for a team member who possesses the strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with our partners and stakeholders while understanding how their work supports our overarching strategic priorities.The Day-to-Day Activities
- The Partnerships Lead is responsible for advancing Platform Calgary’s corporate and event sponsorship portfolio through the development and execution of relevant sponsorship offerings and partnership strategies.
- This role contributes to revenue growth by proactively building a strong and diverse pipeline, conducting strategic outreach, and stewarding partner relationships through a collaborative approach that leverages the expertise and engagement of the broader senior leadership team.
- Work closely with the Platform Team to identify and cultivate industry engagement opportunities that support shared organizational goals.
- Developing corporate and event sponsorship offerings in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and leading the creation of proposals, presentations, and supporting materials for strategic partnership opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners and sponsors across Platform Calgary’s network. These relationships should be nurtured with a shared relationship-ownership mindset, ensuring partners remain connected to Platform Calgary as an organization.
- Represents Platform Calgary at networking events, industry gatherings, and community events to recruit new corporate partners and sponsors. This presence helps foster new relationships, strengthen existing partnerships, and position Platform Calgary as a trusted collaborator, resource, and connector within the ecosystem. The role also supports tours, meetings, and introductory engagements with prospective partners, ensuring an informative, engaging, and relationship-focused introduction to Platform Calgary’s offerings and impact.
- Oversees the ongoing engagement and experience of corporate partners, ensuring they receive meaningful value from their relationship with Platform Calgary. This includes nurturing relationships across diverse industry segments to facilitate connections between partners, members, and emerging sponsorship opportunities. The role works cross-functionally with internal teams to support seamless partner engagement, effective problem-solving, and the fulfillment of partnership commitments.
- Owns the corporate and event sponsorship pipeline, ensuring it remains accurate, up to date, and actionable for internal decision-making. This role builds and maintains a strong, diverse partner pipeline spanning multiple industry segments and major brand tech companies, creating a balanced portfolio of sponsorship opportunities for Platform Calgary.
- Tracks and analyzes sponsorship revenue against targets, monitors sponsor retention rates, and develops insights to strengthen renewal strategies and overall performance. Through consistent reporting and careful data stewardship, the role ensures transparency, alignment, and accountability across all partnership activities.
- Education: Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communication or International Relations or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in non-profit organizations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM and Hubspot. Familiarity with AI tools to improve workflows is a major asset.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to act as a polished representative of Platform Calgary.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and see tasks through from planning to execution.
