SUMMIT Inspection Services Ltd. is seeking an API 580 Inspector who is self-motivated and safety-oriented to join our team. SUMMIT Inspection Services Ltd. has provided in-service pressure vessel inspections predominately to the Oil and Gas industry across western Canada since 2004, and is seeking a skilled, experienced, and team-oriented candidate who values quality and integrity.
SHIFT AND LOCATION
  • Start date : June 29 2026
  • Duration : 1 year contract
  • Location: Calgary
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri 40hours

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review installation, external, and UT corrosion survey reports.
  • Summarize survey findings and assess integrity data.
  • Calculate corrosion rates and evaluate remaining life where applicable.
  • Provide recommendations on inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Certify and sign off reports.
  • Collaborate with clients to review and assess their Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs.
  • Ensure inspections, corrosion assessments, and recommendations align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on implementing corrective actions or improvements identified through RBI analysis.
  • Support clients in maintaining documentation and reporting to demonstrate compliance during audits and reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certified API 580 with 5-7 years experience required
  • API 510 and/or API 570 considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, inspection techniques, and RBI methodology.
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods, including UT, radiography, and other common inspection techniques.
  • Experience reviewing UT and external corrosion survey data.
  • Ability to generate clear, concise, and actionable reports and recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of adhering to deadlines.
