Cascadia Liquor Quadra- Full-time Receiver
Job Purpose: Working as part of a talented team of professionals, the Receiver manages inventory, receives incoming goods and products and maintains stock levels and floor organization.
Position Details: Permanent, full-time.
Compensation: Starting at $21.77 an hour + tips
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing inventory, with an eye for organization, display, and stocking of products.
  • Making customers happy and promoting a helpful and friendly environment to ensure they arrive and leave with a great impression.
  • Receiving incoming goods, ensuring product received reflects invoice information. Find and communicate all variances between ordered and received quantities & product received damaged.
  • Create and maintain a well-organized receiving area, constantly knowing where all products are being stored to assist in retrieval.
  • Operate hand jacks to transport pallets of product safely within the receiving area.
  • Be familiar with counting inventory and love the quest for accuracy when counting.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness with a focus on both products and recycling being stored efficiently.
  • Follow FIFO (First In First Out) processes.
  • Making sure that the fridge is well-stocked when you leave for the day.
  • Assisting on the sales floor and filling in as cashier as required.
  • Such other duties as are customarily performed by a liquor store Receiver.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in receiving or inventory control in retail, hospitality, or food services.
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service with a demonstrated ability to exceed guest expectations and respond to guests and colleagues with kindness and respect.
  • The ability to lift 25 kg repeatedly and stay physically active throughout shift, including standing for extended periods (up to five hours) as well as work in a cold storage environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize the warehouse, manage inventory, stock products and promote a clean and efficient receiving area and storefront.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve and high level of attention to detail.
  • Serving It Right certification (and must be at least 19 years of age).
  • Forklift knowledge, certification an asset.
  • Knowledge of wine, beer and/or spirits is considered an asset.
  • The following certifications are considered an asset:
o BC Wine Ambassadoro WSET (1,2, or 3)o Certified Beer Servero Whiskey and Gin Ambassador
