- Reviewing and processing shop drawings, samples, and submittals
- Assisting with building permits and compliance with local, provincial, and federal codes
- Coordinating materials management, trade scopes, and site instructions
- Tracking RFIs and supporting project start-up, site setup, and LEED tracking
- Attending meetings, manage dashboards, and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting safety compliance, documentation, and reporting
- Maintaining accurate project records, drawing logs, procurement logs, and digital construction plans
- Recording, reviewing, and distributing meeting minutes; following up on tasks
- Preparing daily logs, progress reports, and documentation for progress claims or disputes
- Assembling close-out documents, O&M manuals, and warranty information
- Taking jobsite photos
- Assisting with site setup, initial pre-pour meetings, and shipping/receiving
- Understanding project planning risks and support schedule coordination
- Understanding basic contract obligations between subcontractors, clients, and the company
- Maintaining knowledge of codes and regulations as they relate to construction
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses, employment offices, and other project stakeholders
- Supporting Indigenous participation in employment, training, apprenticeships, student placements, procurement, and subcontracting opportunities
- Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and trade partners to advance Indigenous participation goals and identify opportunities for engagement
- Assisting with outreach, recruitment, workforce development, and Indigenous business engagement initiatives while helping identify and address participation barriers
- Tracking engagement activities, participation outcomes, and project commitments, and contribute to regular reporting on Indigenous Participation Plan progress
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist, or the equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to efficiently prioritize and work under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word and Excel.
- Superior organization and administrative skills
- Experience in construction, drawings, and specifications
