With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring a transportation Logistics Coordinator at our office in Brant, ON. This role is for a highly organized person with strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent time management.

THE ROLEThe Logistics Coordinator will support the Logistics Account Manager through coordinating and monitoring truckload transportation activities by communicating with carriers to ensure loads are picked up and delivered on time - without any involvement in warehousing or inventory management.
This role could also be known as Supply Chain Operations, Shipment Coordination, Logistics Planner or Freight Operations Coordinator.
ABOUT YOUSuccessful Scotlynn Candidates Have:High levels of organization, written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented with excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills Excellent computer skillsThe ability to work well independently and collaboratively with a team Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance an asset, but not requiredWork experience in customer-facing roles from the following industries is welcomed and appreciated: hospitality, administration, retail, banking, transportation and logistics
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESHandling high telephone call volumes in a courteous, efficient mannerWorking with carriers and drivers to monitor loading, unloading, and the time management of freight transitAssist Logistics Account Manager in communication and updates Performing data entry accurately, maintaining up-to-date information in the Transportation Management SystemDevelop long-term relationships with drivers by providing them with excellent customer serviceProactively identify and solve issues with Logistics Account ManagerPerform other job-related duties as directed by the Logistics Account ManagerYOUR COMMITMENTThis is a full-time, permanent roleWork in office from 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday HOW TO APPLYInterested in the role or want to learn more?
