Pharmacy Assistant

Mattawa IDA Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team in Mattawa, Ontario. As a community-focused pharmacy located within a rural community, we pride ourselves on delivering personalized patient care and building strong relationships within our town.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, comfortable with computers and technology, and enjoys working in a team-focused environment while interacting with patients on a daily basis.
Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications
• Blister/Compliance Pack Processing and Management
• Prepare and process prescriptions using Propel Rx
• Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
• Interact professionally and compassionately with patients
• Support daily pharmacy workflow and operations

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous Pharmacy Assistant experience is considered an asset but is not required
• Comfortable with computers and eager to learn new systems
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Friendly, reliable, and patient-focused attitude
