About the Role As Kitchen Supervisor, you perform with passion and take the utmost care as a representative of our brand, motivated to consistently deliver excellent food and service. You lead your team in creating a positive and inclusive environment, while remaining accountable for quality product and presentation in a safe and clean kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Setting up kitchen area, equipment and all stations in preparation for shift
- Daily baking of cookies, and other baked goods
- Finishing items using care to ensure a beautiful product delivered in a timely manner
- Production of sauces/dressings for store use when required
- Leading building menu items to order according to Company recipes and standards
- Always maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Adhering to Food Safe and Work Safe policies and requirements
- Clean up and pack down of kitchen area, equipment and all stations at end of shift
- Involvement and contribution to menu planning, recipe development and product sourcing, as required
- Fulfilment of daily prep pars, adjusting when needed
- Update daily par counts, and using that information to bake, pull, finish, and order products
- Monitor, order, and receive stock
- Restocking and maintaining inventory levels
- Make sure process are printed, displayed and completed each week (Temperature logs, weekly cleaning task sheets, finished production sheets, waste sheets, prep charts, order guide, etc.)
- Monitor completed cookies and other bakery items to ensure quality (size, colour, taste, consistency)
- Adhering to company policy as stated in the Employee Handbook, at all times
- Other duties assigned by the Wilder Food & Beverage Manager, or Senior Management team
- Work unsupervised and manage time appropriately
- Ability to lift up to 50lb
The Ideal Candidate
- Has solid cook experience in a café, restaurant, or similar kitchen environment
- Confident in food preparation, recipe execution, and maintaining portion and quality standards
- Holds a valid Food Safe certificate (required)
- Self-directed and organized — comfortable running the kitchen independently and managing their own day
- Has flexible availability — we are open from 8am to 3pm
- Enjoys being part of a positive, community-focused team
- Is a positive, hard worker who wants to build connections within our community and team

About this location This is a brand new Forecast Coffee location on Esplanade Ave in North Vancouver. We are thrilled to be bringing Forecast Coffee to the North Shore, with a planned opening early July. Training will begin approximately 2 weeks before opening, giving our new team the opportunity to get up to speed together before we welcome our first customers.
