Cafe Supervisor - Function Junction location

Starting wage $20/hr, plus great tips paid out weekly
We are looking for another Supervisor to help lead the team at our original Whistler location. Serving excellent coffee, a tasty brunch & lunch menu, draft beers & cocktails - Forecast Function is the locals favourite spot.
The ability to work well under pressure, provide calm, positive leadership and maintain high standards during peak times, is essential. We are a small but hard-working team, so leading by example is a must - as well as a passion for coffee.

Daily Operations:

• Creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for staff and customers
• Open and close the cafe following all open/close procedures
• Ensure cafe is secure before leaving at end of day
• Cash handling- ensure accurate till counts (open & close) and change float.
• Managing the café floor: providing leadership and guidance to the team of baristas when the cafe manager is not present.
• Ensuring day to day operations run smoothly: plan breaks/ bin runs / orders/ receiving / cleaning tasks.
• Preparing and serving coffee, food and drinks, clearing tables, washing dishes – getting dirty and leading by example by maintaining a high standard of food and beverage preperation.
• Providing coaching to baristas to ensure high performance
• Ensure store cleanliness – plan and delegate daily and weekly cleaning tasks to barista team
• Deal with customer complaints in a polite, respectful manner, enhancing customer experience
• Manage in store labor as required during shift in managers absence (Cutting labour when overstaffed)
• Placing orders
• Maintain store organisation so product is stored safely and securely.

Administrative Operations:

• Adhering to Food Safe, Work Safe policy’s, and following BC Liquor laws
• Maintain compliance- Temp logs, fridge temperature logs.
• Record and enter waste daily at end of day
• Receive invoices using Inventory Management software
• Supporting Cafe manager with Monthly inventory counts (As required)

Extended:

• Support barista training and upskilling as directed by the cafe manager
• Support Cafe Manager with event planning and execution
• Report maintenance issues to Cafe Manager and plan service as directed.
