Our client, Hopewell Real Estate Services LP, is seeking a Manager, National Portfolio Management to join their Property Management team in Calgary. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong real estate asset management experience, understands financial performance, and can work across property management, leasing, accounting, and client teams with confidence. About the RoleThe Manager, National Portfolio Management will oversee a portfolio of real estate assets, ensuring properties are effectively managed, financially sound, and positioned to maximize long-term value. This role works closely with senior leadership, clients, property managers, leasing teams, and accounting professionals to support strategic asset management, operational performance, financial analysis, and client reporting.
This is a full-time role based in Calgary, Alberta. Traditional core office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings, weekends, and periodic travel required.
As Manager, National Portfolio Management, your responsibilities will include:
  • Working closely with the Senior Manager, Director, and clients to evaluate real estate asset objectives.
  • Developing and executing strategies to maximize the value of each client’s real estate portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting regular property inspections to ensure properties are well-maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Overseeing leasing efforts and collaborating with leasing teams to optimize occupancy.
  • Working closely with property management teams to ensure buildings are operating at peak performance.
  • Developing and managing budgets for each property in the portfolio.
  • Maximizing value and cash flow in alignment with the investment strategy.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial and management reports on a timely basis.
  • Interpreting financial statements, leases, agreements, and related documents.
  • Reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for quality control.
  • Working with internal teams, including Property Management and Accounting, to analyze revenue and expense variances, summarize accounts receivable, and report on monthly activity.
  • Acting as an interdepartmental liaison to support annual budget development and ensure clients receive timely, accurate, standardized, and comprehensive reporting packages.
  • Assisting with acquisitions and dispositions, including new property setup or transition requirements.
  • Participating in broader corporate initiatives, property management committees, and other projects as required.
On your resume, we ask that you demonstrate the following experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management or a related field within real estate.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financial analysis, property operations, and leasing.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting budgets, financial reports, leases, agreements, and related documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver’s license.
