You are responsible for:1. KYC/AML
- Support and review documentation for KYC Onboarding to ensure all required information is collected and due diligence is performed in line with Odysseys AML Policy and Risk-Based Approach.
- Perform KYC Refresh on existing clients as they come due for review or if there is a trigger event.
- Review and disposition all name screening hits.
- Assist in enhanced due diligence efforts and investigations when required.
- Provide KYC oversight and guidance in response to Business Unit inquiries.
- Maintain the Lost Holder Searches/Unclaimed Property program and policy documentation.
- Prepare and submit provincial Lost Holder Searches/Unclaimed Property reports.
- Review and complete reports for the SEC regulatory filings, including the TA-1 and TA-2.
- Assist in other SEC-related filings and inquiries.
- Perform Monitoring & Testing Activities as assigned and input results into Odyssey’s regulatory register in a timely manner.
- Support development and maintenance of metrics collection and reporting.
- Help monitor and manage the compliance mailbox (e.g. Inquiries, Production Orders, etc.).
- Monitor regulatory environment and communicate developments on a periodic basis.
- Support regulatory projects, audits, and initiatives, as required.
- Works collaboratively to support team goals.
Skills and Experience:
- AML, Compliance, and Transfer Agent knowledge.
- Internal controls knowledge.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Organization, project management, and strategic planning skills.
- Documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with transfer agent systems (e.g. Transtar).
- Undergraduate degree in economics, business, finance, or similar field.
- 1-3 years relevant work experience in a financial institution, audit, or compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
