Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and lead teams to deliver project results, on schedule and within budget limits.
- Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support on‑time, on‑budget project delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and update integrated project controls systems, including cost and schedule baselines.
- Mentor and support project controls analysts, planners, and schedulers.
- Prepare detailed schedules, identify critical paths, and maintain schedule integrity.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety requirements.
- Track project progress, analyze variances, and prepare performance reports for stakeholders.
- Manage contractor and vendor inputs to ensure accurate cost and schedule alignment.
- Update forecasts, assess impacts of changes, and support change management processes.
- Calculate earned value and monitor KPIs to support proactive project decision‑making.
- Support estimating, tendering, and risk management activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost control, or planning within multi‑disciplinary engineering projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
- Experience in mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or large‑scale infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with project controls and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, SAP, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks, cost control principles, and scheduling best practices.
- Familiarity with estimating, tendering, and risk management processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both internal and client‑facing interactions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on developing practical, data‑driven solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse project teams.
