We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. - Must be familiar with the Canada Food Guide, the preparation of meals according to special dietary needs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Reliable and able to work all shifts
- Ability to lift 10 kg
- Ability to work as a team member
- Prepare meals as outlines on the daily menu
- Prepare food for special meeting and events
- Do preparation for the next day meals
- Always maintain a clean and sanitary workplace
- Report any safety issues to manager
- All other related duties as assigned
- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalency
- Completion of Culinary School is an asset and/or one year experience in volume cooking, preferably hospital setting
- Possession of/or the ability to obtain Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures
- Knowledge in the proper handling and storage of food and able to follow the dietary sanitation code

Salary: $51,402.00 - $55,809.00
