Grant Writer

Position OverviewISNA Canada is seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our Growth Team on a contract basis. This role is essential to supporting the organization’s funding and development efforts through the preparation of grant proposals, reporting, and research. The Grant Writer will collaborate with teams to secure grants that align with ISNA Canada’s strategic priorities and help drive social impact.
Key Responsibilities

• Grant Writing & Proposal Development
• Draft, edit, and submit high-quality grant applications, letters of intent, and funding proposals.
• Tailor proposals to align with funder priorities, organizational goals, and community impact.

Research & Funding Strategy

• Identify new grant opportunities through prospect research and analysis of philanthropic trends.
• Track application deadlines and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar.

Reporting & Documentation

• Support the preparation of interim and final reports for funders.
• Ensure all submissions meet the requirements and deadlines of each funder.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
• Proven success in securing funding from foundations, government, or corporate funders.
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Familiarity with the nonprofit sector
