Buffer/Grinder (Weld Finisher)

Company IntroductionR&W Metal Fabricating and Design Inc., located right off of Hwy 403 in Paris, Ontario, is a manufacturer of steel fabricated products.
Job Introduction – Buffer/GrinderWe are currently seeking new candidates to fill various positions on both of our shifts. The buffer/grinder position involves using a portable hand grinder to buff excess material from our welded products.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• 1 year experience in a production environment preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, compressed air tools, portable hand grinder an asset
• Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision at times
• Quality-minded with attention to detail
• Must have a good attendance and health and safety record
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Must be able to bend, twist, squat, work overhead and lift up to 50lbs

We have 2 shifts:

• Day shift: Monday through Thursday 7am – 4:30 pm; Friday 7am – 2:30pm
• Afternoon shift: Monday through Thursday 5pm – 2:30am; Friday 3pm – 10:30pm

Compensation:

• Hourly wage to be determined, commensurate with skill and experience for 43 hours weekly with the opportunity to expand earnings with the right attitude, aptitude and attendance.
