Warehouse & Packaging Associate

For over 10 years, Lake of Bays Brewing Company has been a mainstay of the Ontario craft beer scene. The brewery started as an idea by our president and founder in his university apartment. Since then, our company has grown exponentially to include restaurants, microbreweries, retail spaces, and more.
As the full-time Warehouse & Packaging Associate you would be responsible for operating packaging equipment, a forklift to fulfill orders, packing pallets and assisting with the delivery of beer and raw ingredients. The successful candidate for this role may be scheduled for shifts in Baysville or Bracebridge while we work through the process of relocating our brewing facility to Bracebridge.

The Role:

• Operating forklifts, canning and bottling equipment safely and responsibly
• Pull inventory, palletize and wrap products and load onto delivery trucks
• Lift and move products for packaging of pallets and online orders
• Operating and maintaining hand/power tools and packaging equipment
• Process required paperwork to ensure accurate records are kept of all shipments
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing and packaging procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while always following Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Set up/run/clean up of all packaging equipment
• Preparation of packaging supplies and accurately maintain packaging logs
• Identifying product, label and pack appropriately
• General organizing and cleaning of the packaging area, warehouse and equipment

Your Assets:

• Forklift experience preferred (a huge asset for us, but we can train you!)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Results oriented, driven, and disciplined with a “can do” attitude
• Enthusiasm and a passion for craft beer (a big win for us, but not necessary!)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills – a commitment to building effective internal and external relationships is key!
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
• Valid G License with a clear driver’s abstract

Working Conditions:

• Full-time Monday-Friday is the norm for this role, but there may be times when overtime or work outside normal hours may be required
• Period of sitting, standing, and walking
• Lifting, twisting, crouching, and climbing are all regular movements required of this role!
