Intellifi is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team in our Toronto office. The Business Development Manager will be accountable for providing sales leadership in two key areas of growth. They will focus on new software licensing contracts for the residential mortgage servicing platform and underwriting platform (LMS360), and the commercial underwriting platform (Atlas). They will also focus on new contracts for the Business Process Outsourcing group which specializes in mortgage underwriting and servicing on Intellifi’s proprietary platforms. Role and Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager will be accountable for providing new client management, which includes:
- Managing the entire sales cycle, from identification to a signed agreement inclusive of proof of concept, if applicable.
- Identifying important decision-makers, sets out a contact strategy for building relationships with decision-makers, ensuring appropriate level handoffs and active involvement of the internal customer team particularly the business subject matter experts, customer success teams, and executive introductions.
- Working with the business subject matter experts and relevant support teams to assist with the full sales cycle including such items but not limited to pitch decks, project management, working sessions, term sheet preparation.
- ·Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
- Executing demand generation activities to build and maintain pipeline coverage throughout the entire sales cycle through the purchasing process up to and including the successful execution of a term sheet agreement.
- Introducing potential partners to the value of products and services to deepen existing relationships and/or foster new partnerships.
- Determining the role each external decision-maker plays, calculates their relative importance and influence and maintain the relationship throughout the purchasing process.
- Leading client interactions ensuring clear two-way communication between all parties. Keep abreast of changes throughout the sales cycle, manage expectations within the Business Development Manager’s control and provide proactive unbiased feedback to effectively engage all involved.
- Actively networking to keep abreast of industry insights, foster key adjacent relationships with such partners as insurers.
- Attending industry forums and conferences where target clients (i.e., Credit Unions and Schedule B financial institutions) would be in attendance.
- Proven track record of success in sales, relationship management and development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage community in Canada.
- A strong background in and understanding of the Canadian residential mortgage industry.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong technical capabilities with an understanding of technology and systems, as you will be working closely on our loan management systems and their implementation in operating environments.
