VANCOUVER PHOENIX GYMNASTICSRecreational Gymnastics Coach Job Opportunity
Recreational Coach Located in the heart of the city, Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics is one of Canada’s largest and most successful clubs with two operating facilities. Home to the best climate in the country, Vancouver is a world-class, internationally recognized city, perfect for those who love experiences and the outdoors. Phoenix Gymnastics has a strong recreational program inclusive to ages 0-100, while also consistently producing some of Canada’s top gymnasts, many of whom represent the club and province and have become National Team members representing Canada at international competitions.VPG is seeking energetic and vibrant people to join our team. Our ideal candidate enjoys working with children, and has a desire to become a leader in youth development, and seeks the satisfaction of making a difference in people's lives. Our GFA Coaches will work alongside both recreational and competitive athletes, coaches, and other motivated and passionate individuals involved in our community.We are especially looking to fill positions on weekends and evenings.
Qualifications:• Legally eligible to work and live in Canada;• NCCP Level 1/Gymnastics Foundations Trained minimum;• Completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to hiring being confirmed for individuals 19 years of age or older;• Respect in Sport certificate completion;• Completion of the “Commit to Kids” course during the first month of employment;• Must meet the certification requirements in Canada and BC, including First Aid (or have a willingness to get it!);• Energetic, active, and engaging attitude to create a positive and respectful training environment; and• Clear, empathic, patient, and open communication skills.VPG offers extensive in-house support initiatives, including training and certification opportunities, to help guide and develop coaches' professional growth. Type:Full Time and Part-time position with a flexible schedule, determined by the needs of the program.
