Fancy Therapy is seeking passionate and dedicated practicum students to join our innovative and inclusive mental health practice in Ontario. We offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, growth-oriented environment while contributing to our mission of revolutionizing therapy experiences across the province.
Program Overview:Our practicum program provides a comprehensive learning experience, combining rigorous training, personalized supervision, and a strong sense of community. We specialize in areas including ADHD, trauma, perinatal mental health, parenting support, and couples therapy.
Requirements:
  • Resident of Ontario
  • Enrollment in a Master's level CRPO-accredited program
  • Registered with a regulatory college
  • Completion of required coursework as deemed necessary by your program
  • Commitment to complete at least 200 hours of Direct Client Contact (DCC)
  • Participation in a mandatory 10-hour introductory course on private practice essentials
  • Completion of either an EFT course or the Gottman Level 1 course required for working with couples
  • Passionate about helping people
  • Accountable, driven, and have a positive attitude
  • Access to a quiet, private space with high-speed internet
  • Computer with webcam and headphones

What We Offer:
  • 48+ hours of no-cost supervision with CRPO-qualified clinical supervisor
  • 10 individual supervision sessions for evaluations, personal goals, and challenges
  • 30 dyadic supervision sessions for case consultation and questions
  • 300 Direct client contact hours over the course of 8 months with no marketing required on your part
  • 8 group supervision sessions for further training and team bonding
  • Extensive training in both individual and relational therapy (couples and family)

About Your Supervisor:Morgan Fancy is a dedicated and empathetic supervisor with a passion for fostering growth and excellence in the field of psychotherapy. Her journey into therapy began at a young age, driven by a deep desire to help others and a fascination with understanding people from diverse backgrounds. She is the owner of the successful group practice, Fancy Therapy which was founded in 2021 and is committed to the values listed above.
Approach to Supervision: Morgan's supervisory style is grounded in the following principles:
  • Inclusivity: Embracing diverse perspectives and recognizing the unique experiences each therapist brings to their practice.
  • Authenticity: Encouraging open, honest communication and self-reflection in the supervisory relationship.
  • Empowerment: Supporting therapists in developing their own competence and confidence as practitioners.
