What You’ll Be Doing
As the Director, Transformation & AI Delivery, you will be reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy, Business Management and Effectiveness in Transaction Banking. In this role you will lead Transaction Banking’s transformation and AI agenda by overseeing the full portfolio of process transformation and AI initiatives while directly owning and delivering a significant portion of them. You will be establishing governance frameworks, maintaining clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and resourcing, as well as preparing updates for leadership and steering committees. You will also be identifying and prioritizing new transformation and AI opportunities, leading initiatives from idea through design, build, launch, and adoption, and ensuring measurable business outcomes are defined and realized.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
How You'll Succeed
- PMO and Governance - Establish and run a single framework for intake, prioritization, stage gates, status reporting, and benefits tracking. Maintain a current view of initiative status, risks, dependencies, and resourcing. Run weekly workstream check-ins and bi-weekly portfolio working sessions. Prepare monthly status reports for TB leadership and quarterly steering committee and benefits reviews. Represent TB in enterprise transformation and AI governance forums.
- Initiative Identification and Delivery - Build a structured pipeline to find, assess, and prioritize process transformation and AI opportunities. Lead owned initiatives from ideation and solution design through build, launch, and adoption. Define benefits at the outset (efficiency, cost, revenue, risk) and report realized outcomes after launch.
- Stakeholder Leadership - Align Technology, Data and AI, Operations, Product, Risk, Compliance, Model Risk, and Finance on priorities and decisions. Mobilize and direct matrixed resources, and escalate risks and decisions early. Drive change management and adoption so results are sustained.
- Success Outcomes - Success will be demonstrated by strong transformation governance across the portfolio, clear and current visibility for senior leadership, end-to-end delivery of owned initiatives with measurable impact, and a repeatable pipeline of process transformation and AI opportunities. It will also include benefits that are clearly defined, tracked, and realized, as well as strong stakeholder alignment and sustained adoption.
- Collaboration & Culture - Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team and across partner groups, including Commercial Banking and Transaction Banking teams.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate 8-10 years of experience in banking, financial services, or consulting, with exposure to payments or transaction banking or cash management as well as hands-on AI/GenAI transformation or delivery experience. It is an asset if you have PMO or portfolio governance experience and benefits realization experience.
- Your influence makes a difference. You have a proven track record leading complex, cross-functional programs through influence, with strong executive communication.
- You look beyond the moment. You know what you do will make a difference today and tomorrow. You look for new opportunities to define what's possible. Change management and adoption experience would be an asset.
- You embrace and advocate for change. You have experience building an idea or opportunity pipeline, including process transformation or automation.
- You live your values. You bring high standards, genuine care to your relationships, and want to grow with an employer that shares your values and brings out your best.
