Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advisory on FRB capital frameworks, in particular market risk, ensuring consistent interpretation and application across portfolios
  • Advise on leverage exposure impacts of banking and trading activities (e.g., derivatives, SFTs, balance sheet usage), including optimization of exposure measurement and limit utilization
  • Partner with Global Markets, Risk, Treasury, and Finance to assess the RWA and leverage impacts of trading strategies, new products, and portfolio changes

  • Act as an escalation point for complex interpretive issues related to FRB capital rules
  • Lead or support regulatory change initiatives impacting FRB market risk capital, including interpretation, implementation, policy updates, and stakeholder communication
  • Develop analytics, reporting, and insights on RWA and leverage movements to support senior management decision-making and regulatory engagement
  • Contribute to limit management and governance, including monitoring usage, identifying emerging risks, and supporting escalation and remediation frameworks

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong understanding of market risk capital frameworks, including VaR-based RWA, IRC, and sensitivities-based approaches, as well as FRB leverage rules
  • Experience working with trading portfolios (e.g., rates, credit, securitized products, derivatives) and understanding drivers of RWA and leverage exposure
  • Solid understanding of regulatory capital frameworks and their practical application, including interpretation, policy development, or capital implementation
  • Experience assessing new products or trading strategies from a capital, risk, or balance sheet perspective
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Front Office, Market Risk, Finance, and Treasury stakeholders in an advisory and governance capacity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including working with large datasets and developing actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical capital concepts for executive audiences
  • High degree of initiative, ownership, and comfort in an evolving regulatory environment
