Job Description:

TD is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented leader to advance technology enablement across the KYC program within FCRM. The Senior Manager, KYC Technology Enablement will define and articulate a compelling future state vision for KYC, connect Canadian priorities with enterprise and global direction where applicable, and serve as the principal conduit between KYC stakeholders and technology partners.

This role will create structure around how technology needs are identified, defined, prioritized and delivered. The successful candidate will bring together policy, risk, operations, data, technology and business perspectives, translating complex regulatory and functional needs into an integrated roadmap and clear delivery requirements.

What you do
  • Future-state strategy and roadmap. Develop and maintain the KYC technology enablement vision and multi-year roadmap, linking business outcomes, regulatory obligations, process modernization, data needs and enterprise architecture direction.
  • Enterprise and global alignment. Represent Canadian KYC priorities in enterprise and global forums, identify common capabilities and local requirements, and help reduce duplication through reusable and scalable solutions.
  • Single front door for KYC technology demand. Establish a consistent intake and triage approach for technology-related ideas, issues and requirements across KYC, with transparent ownership, prioritization and status.
  • Requirements leadership. Lead discovery and requirements gathering across KYC. Translate business, regulatory and risk needs into clear problem statements, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
  • Portfolio prioritization. Maintain an integrated view of KYC technology demand, dependencies, constraints and delivery risks. Facilitate evidence-based prioritization aligned to regulatory commitments, risk reduction, customer experience and productivity.
  • End-to-end delivery partnership. Partner with Technology, Product, Data, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Operations, Change Management and control functions through solution design, planning, testing, implementation and post-launch stabilization.
  • Governance and decision support. Prepare concise materials that frame options, trade-offs, decisions, risks and escalations for KYC leadership and governance forums.
  • Benefits and adoption. Define outcome measures and support realization of benefits, including improved risk coverage, control effectiveness, cycle time, data quality, productivity, colleague experience and customer experience.
  • Innovation with control. Assess practical opportunities to apply automation, advanced analytics and AI to KYC, ensuring appropriate engagement of governance, model risk, privacy, security and control partners.
  • Team and capability leadership. Build strong business analysis and technology enablement capability, coach team members, promote common standards and foster an accountable, collaborative delivery culture.

What you bring
  • Progressive experience leading complex technology enablement, business architecture, product, transformation or business analysis portfolios in financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, financial crime risk management, customer onboarding, due diligence, data and control environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a target-state vision and convert it into a pragmatic, sequenced roadmap.
  • Expertise in requirements elicitation, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, testing and implementation readiness.
  • Ability to influence across senior business, risk and technology stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
  • Executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complexity, frame decisions and develop clear written and presentation materials.
  • Sound judgement in balancing regulatory, risk, customer, colleague, delivery and cost considerations.
  • Experience working across jurisdictions, global programs or federated operating models is an asset.
  • Experience with automation, AI, analytics, workflow platforms, KYC utilities or large-scale financial crime technology is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent practical experience. Relevant business analysis, product, agile, project, risk or technology credentials are assets.

Who you are as a leader
  • Enterprise-minded and able to connect strategy with execution.
  • Curious, structured and comfortable challenging the status quo constructively.
  • A translator who can bridge KYC, technology, data and operations.
  • Decisive and transparent about priorities, trade-offs and accountabilities.
  • Committed to developing talent, empowering others and creating clarity.
