Business Intelligence StudentOur internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and
development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.
We are seeking a student to join us for an 8 month co-op position starting in September 2026. This position will be based out of Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg or Vancouver.What You Will Be Working On
• Collaborate with the team to gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and other relevant platforms.
• Assist in developing and implementing data collection processes, data cleansing, and data validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Help create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data findings in a clear and meaningful manner for business stakeholders.
• Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can be used to drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating business performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and support ad-hoc data requests from various departments.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of business intelligence and analytics.
• You are currently enrolled in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or
equivalent program
• You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently
• Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships

• Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
• Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
• Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or
one of our wholly owned subsidiaries
• If you are selected for a role with client specific requirements, you may be required to
successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
