Position Overview
The Associate is a key member of the Treasury & Payment Solutions (TPS) team and is responsible for providing sales, implementation, portfolio management, and client support to Treasury & Payment Solutions Vice Presidents and Directors.
The role serves as a primary coordination point between clients, internal partners, implementation teams, product specialists, and Sales Officers to ensure client requests, onboarding activities, pricing proposals, portfolio administration, and implementation projects are executed accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, proactive follow-through, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced client-focused environment. The role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
Key Accountabilities
Sales Officer & Client Support
- Act as a day-to-day support partner to assigned Vice Presidents and Directors.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client inquiries related to TPS products, pricing, onboarding requirements, implementation status, and service requests.
- Gather and organize information required to advance opportunities through the sales process.
- Prepare pre-call planning materials, client research, prospect research, pitchbooks, RFP responses, and Client Business Reviews (CBRs).
- Coordinate internal resources and partners to support sales, onboarding, and implementation activities.
- Proactively communicate status updates, risks, dependencies, and outstanding action items.
Implementation & Onboarding Management
- Coordinate onboarding activities including AML/KYC requirements, account opening, implementation requests, and service setup.
- Submit implementation requests accurately through established systems and workflows.
- Track implementation milestones and manage follow-up with clients and internal partners regarding outstanding requirements.
- Coordinate Solution Delivery Consultants (SDCs), documentation teams, and implementation partners as appropriate.
- Escalate delays, risks, client concerns, or issues requiring management support.
- Support project management activities associated with larger or more complex implementations.
Pricing, Billing & Deposit Management
- Support pricing proposals, repricing requests, Deposit Pricing Models (DPM), Pricing Exception Tool (PET) requests, and waiver approvals.
- Prepare accurate financial inputs, pricing analyses, and business rationale supporting approval requests.
- Assist with monthly portfolio pricing reviews and preliminary billing reviews.
- Monitor pricing maturities, waiver expirations, and related portfolio requirements.
- Help ensure client pricing, rates, services, and billing structures are accurately implemented.
- Support Operational Risk Event (ORE) mitigation through accurate documentation and setup practices.
Portfolio Management & Salesforce Discipline
- Maintain accurate Salesforce opportunities, call activity, notes, and pipeline information.
- Participate in portfolio review and pipeline discussions with Sales Officers and coverage partners.
- Maintain accurate portfolio records and supporting client documentation.
- Monitor portfolio activities including pricing renewals, waivers, implementation status, and account maintenance requests.
- Assist with identification of client opportunities through portfolio analysis, transaction review, and financial statement analysis.
- Utilize internal systems and reporting tools to support portfolio management and client planning.
Communication, Ownership & Execution
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned work from intake through completion.
- Proactively identify next steps, dependencies, risks, and required follow-up activities.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, internal partners, and senior team members.
- Exercise judgment in identifying and escalating issues requiring additional support.
- Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and client focus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- CTP designation, progress toward CTP, or treasury-related certification preferred.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in treasury management, cash management, banking, implementation support, client service, sales support, operations, or related financial services environment.
- Experience supporting corporate and commercial clients preferred.
- Experience coordinating implementation, onboarding, pricing, billing, or portfolio management activities preferred.
- Knowledge of Treasury & Payment Solutions products preferred.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of cash management, treasury management, payments, receivables, liquidity, information reporting, fraud management, and digital banking channels.
- Understanding of implementation, onboarding, account opening, pricing, and client service processes.
- Familiarity with portfolio management concepts, financial statement review, and opportunity identification.
- Understanding of risk management, compliance, AML/KYC, and operational controls.

Salary:
$55,000.00 - $120,000.00Pay Type:
SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
