Position Summary:

Assist with organization of course materials on myCourses. Grade assignments and draft feedback. Assist students with statistical softwares. Aid students on conceptual clarification and communicate areas of confusion to the instructor.
Qualifications:

  • Only Current Masters or Doctoral students registered at McGill are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistant. Preferably Students in Surgical and Interventional Sciences.

  • Preferably Students in Public Health, Epidemiology, Experimental Medicine, Computer Science, or a related field are also eligible.

  • Graduate-level training in biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, including probability, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, sample-size calculation, logistic regression, and survival analysis

  • Proficiency in SPSS and other statistical software (example R, SAS, etc)

  • Experience with data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and interpretation.

  • Ability to select appropriate biostatistical methods and critically evaluate study methodology and medical literature.

  • Strong analytical, teaching, and communication skills.

  • Successful completion of EXSU 606 with a final grade of A.

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
