What you’ll do
Develop a clear understanding of SportChek’s visual merchandising vision and standards.
Partnering with head office and store teams to ensure corporate merchandising standards are communicated and successfully executed.
Coach, train and validate key initiatives and strategies elevating the customer experience and category growth to impact sales performance across the store network.
Reinforce and validate merchandising direction, focusing on signage and robust merchandising tactics to drive sell through and inventory turns.
Ensure ad compliance and set-up.
Act as the lead contact for the region related to visual merchandising questions or issues and provide visual solutions.
Focus on store performance building action plans into weekly store visits through the effective use of the RVM store visit report, photo validation and task management to positively impact store performance and presentation increasing sales performance across the store network.
Work collaboratively with the District Manager’s to develop action plans to deliver on the visual strategy instore.
Build common practices ensuring consistency of execution across all regions.
Support and build action plans for store teams related to store openings and revitalizations.
Ensure photos are collected from the region for key set ups, initiatives, seasonal changeovers and store openings.
Support visual merchandising research or test initiatives.
Monitor region for visual merchandising trends.
Understand trends and developments in the field of visual merchandising.
Promote a positive, solution focused store culture.
A Diploma in Visual Merchandising or Design or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one year of direct experience in visual merchandising.
Strong understanding of store operations.
A vehicle as the position requires travel from store-to-store within the region. You may also be required to travel to a new store location to oversee the pre-opening merchandising plan.
Passion for retail and visual merchandising
Exceptional communication skills.
Ability to implement change in a positive, proactive manner.
Aptitude for collaboration and developing strong relationships.

Our typical hiring range is between 50,000 and 65,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
