Job Description:
As an Associate Software Engineer in the onboarding and compliancy team in business banking, you will contribute to the delivery and support of OBNC capabilities by owning engineering work across analysis, maintaining environment readiness, code cut off, promoting changes to higher env, making sure release tarin timeless are met, troubleshooting any environment issue faced by testing team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support development and testing environments (DEV, SIT, PAT, PROD)
Perform release cut-offs, deployments, and environment promotions
Troubleshoot environment issues and ensure stability across releases
Enforce secure coding practices, branch protection rules, and approval workflows
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards
Reduces manual effort for development teams
Work closely with Dev, QA, and Release teams to streamline delivery
Drive DevSecOps adoption and best practices across teams
Continuously improve automation, reliability, and security posture
Must Have
GitHub Actions, Github, Jenkins, or similar, PL/SQL, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform - 2 years
Other Tools & Scripts – Maven, Confluence, Jira, GitHub – 2 years
Ability to work independently under minimal guidance.
Subject matter expertise and ability to share with less experienced colleagues.
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
Strong experience with Git (branching, merging, pull requests)
Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles
Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
Familiarity with security scanning tools and practices
Experience supporting application environments and deployments
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, etc.)
Exposure to monitoring and observability tools
Strong communication skills

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Effective cross-team collaboration
EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate
Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
