No. of positions: 1 or 2

Total hours available: 100 (or 2 x 50 hours)

Required Duties

  • Answer student questions on topics covered during the lectures and help prepare reading materials, as needed;
  • Compile grades and assist the instructor with managing myCourses platform, and other software tools (i.e. Zoom, etc.), as needed;
  • Assist in scheduling and coordination of guest lecturers;
  • Assist with grading assessments, as needed.

Qualifications

Graduate level engineering student with knowledge of sustainable design principles, systems thinking, and lifecycle assessment. Prior experience with interdisciplinary team projects focused on developing sustainable products or services, is an asset. Ideal candidate will have mechanical engineering capstone design experience as well as experience using LCA as a tool to support eco-design or sustainable product development.

Teaching Assistants will be required to be on campus to perform their tasks in person. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
