Fall 2026 Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Economics is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Fall 2026. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.

ECON 316-001 The Underground Economy (3 Credits – CAP 100)
The origins, structure and operation of the "underground" sectors of modern economies around the world. Topics include the causes of black marketeering in Western economies; international contraband trade in guns and drugs; money laundering through the world financial system.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • Doctoral level study in Economics, including completed comprehensive examinations for the PhD, or completed PhD degree in Economics;

  • Evidence of highly effective teaching ability or of superior communications skills and potential for teaching excellence;

  • The candidate's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;

  • Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

Tuesday and Thursday 08:35 am-09:55 am, August 31, 2026 – December 4, 2026. Location: SADB 1/12.

Salary: $11,824 per course.
