The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.

Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Loblaw Agency is looking for a motivated, organized, curious, and enthusiastic intern to support our In-Store Marketing team at Shoppers Drug Mart. In this role, you’ll support the coordination and execution of our in-store POP and merchandising standards. You’ll work closely with internal teams, gain hands-on experience organizing and maintaining our standards, and build an understanding of how in-store signage is developed and executed. You’ll also gain exposure to the end-to-end process of bringing campaigns and marketing materials to life in our stores.

This is a great opportunity to develop practical experience within in-store marketing, project coordination, and retail.

Role Mandate:

Support the In-Store Marketing team with day-to-day coordination, including project tracking, estimates, reporting, and approvals. Lead the coordination, development, and ongoing execution of POP Standards documentation to ensure materials are accurate, organized, and kept up to date.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and manage daily assigned work tasks
  • Support the development and design of the POP and Merch standards
  • Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, from submission of intake Workfront project, brief, reviewing proofs to obtain final approval
  • Support and prepare store locations for store walks, including conducting store audits, ordering POP and coordinating installations as required
  • Support in store signage set ups as required
  • Perform data entry and word-processing functions
  • Provide customer service assistance by responding to vendor and/or internal inquiries
  • Assist with filing projects while adhering to a prescribed set of rules for storing or destroying files
  • Conduct research, perform analysis and input data
  • Support other ad hoc requests and additional responsibilities as required

Role Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Superior knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with print production an asset
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Team player, one who is both collaborative with peers and management, and displays initiative to ensure projects stay on track
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and detail oriented
  • Efficient and able to multi-task well
