The role will combine strategic thinking, rigorous analytics and disciplined execution, with significant exposure to senior executives and responsibility for shaping recommendations on some of the Division’s most important business opportunities and challenges.

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional strategic initiatives from problem definition and business case development through implementation and benefits realization.

Long-Term & Annual Strategic Planning

  • Lead the Division’s annual and long-range strategic planning processes in partnership with the Super Market Leadership Team and enterprise support functions.
  • Translate the Division’s long-term ambitions into a focused set of strategic priorities, financial objectives and actionable initiatives.
  • Integrate customer trends, competitive dynamics, market developments and internal performance into the Division’s strategic outlook.
  • Support prioritization and resource-allocation decisions by assessing the strategic and financial attractiveness of competing opportunities.
  • Establish clear objectives, milestones, performance measures and governance to monitor progress against the strategic plan and identify required course corrections.

Executive Advisory & Communication

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing structured problem solving, independent perspectives and fact-based recommendations on high-priority business issues.
  • Partner with Analytics and other functions to ensure executive decisions are grounded in relevant, accurate and actionable insights.
  • Lead performance, market share, category and competitive reviews to identify drivers of outperformance and diagnose areas of underperformance.
  • Facilitate senior leadership discussions and working sessions to build alignment around strategic choices, priorities and actions.
  • Develop and deliver clear, compelling executive materials for the Super Market Leadership Team, Management Board, Board of Directors, and other senior leadership forums.

  • Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and constructive challenge.
  • Build strong relationships across Strategic Projects, Capital Planning, and other partner teams to support seamless execution of the Division’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, retail, merchandising, consumer packaged goods or a related field, including significant experience leading complex strategic initiatives.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline required; MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
