Join us as a Manager, Supply Chain in our Inbound Scheduling team to bring products through our distribution centers to nearly 2,500 grocery and pharmacy retail stores nationally, and ultimately the homes of millions of Canadians. You will own the inbound scheduling process, ensuring the efficient scheduling and receiving of goods into our distribution centres. You will also be responsible for providing early warnings to the rest of the Supply Chain of issues with inbound flow, considering inbound and outbound forecasts, inventory levels at distribution centers, and any network capacity constraints. The Inbound Scheduling, Supply Chain Manager works in a highly cross-functional environment, interacting with the vendor and carrier community, supply chain operations, and planning teams. This position works alongside other Replenishment Management teams to forecast and replenish products according to sales projection plans and programs. The main requirement is to coordinate the flow of product using Purchase Orders and acting as the central point of reference for all goods travelling between suppliers, Transport and DCs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of efficiency and support to our distribution, transport, and replenishment partners
  • Coach, guide and develop Inbound Scheduling Analysts
  • Coordinate vacation planning and coverage across the Inbound Scheduling team.
  • Ensure strategies and processes that support on time delivery and receipt of goods into DC’s supporting service level performance are performed successfully
  • Analyze performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and drive process improvement strategies that improve service, flow, and efficiency alongside replenishment, operations, transport, and the vendor community.
  • Ensure operational and capacity constraints are always adhered to
  • Facilitate forecasting and holiday planning across the DCs in the Enterprise
  • Ensure strategies pertaining to seasonal demand fluctuations are performed by colleagues
  • Identify, recommend, and implement continuous process improvement opportunities across all areas of supply chain to improve important metric: service level, in-store availability, forecast error, on-time arrival, and inventory
  • Support the development and implementation of special projects/initiatives identified by the business and/or Supply Chain management team crafted to improve the overall Supply Chain and its performance.
  • Coordinate seasonal planning and conduct post-season reviews.
  • Provide leadership oversight on weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ad hoc projects as the need arises

What you'll Bring:

  • Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain/Business or related field is an asset
  • 1-3 years' experience preferably in a leadership capacity and within a Supply Chain environment
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Retail business environment
  • Must have the ability to understand the impact that decisions may have on all facets of the supply chain
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and with excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and able to balance multiple priorities in a faced-paced environment to prioritize efficiently
  • Able to deal successfully with all levels of management
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Must be analytical and systems-oriented
  • Must be driven to improve processes and take initiative to highlight opportunities
  • Strong solid understanding of SAP/ JDA/ IPFR
  • Proven Microsoft Office and Microsoft Access skills
