Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical or Instrumentation Technician with a strong background in maintenance and construction. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our electrical and instrumentation systems, and will contribute to the construction and installation of new systems as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the construction, installation, and commissioning of new electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Expectations

  • Operating a company vehicle offroad on rugged terrain in changing conditions
  • Good knowledge of process systems in regards to conventional oil & gas
  • Working in a strong team work environment
  • Physical demands include: lifting and moving material and equipment weighing up to 50lbs and regular exposure to oil and gas well site or plant environments
  • Travels to and from work sites, travel is required, hotel or camp work is required

Qualifications

Qualifications / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical/instrumentation preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician/instrumentation technician in an industrial or construction setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation principles, and industrial controls.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
  • All safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license

Additional Information

Please note that travel out of town and camp work is required.
