- Project oversight: manage all phases of Murox projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Client relations: serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and building strong, long-term relationships.
- Planning and coordination: develop comprehensive project schedules and coordinate effectively with internal teams (engineering, fabrication) and external stakeholders (contractors, site teams).
- Budget management: monitor project budgets, control costs, and proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Team leadership: lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals, providing clear direction and support across various functions.
- Erection and quality control: collaborate with site teams to plan erection methods, and ensure all on-site work adheres to Canam's high safety and quality standards.
- Problem solving: proactively identify and resolve project challenges, developing contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
- Documentation and reporting: maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and change orders, and report project status to senior management.
- Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with estimation and sales teams during the pre-construction phase and support them with technical insights.
Qualifications
- Experience with structural steel, concrete, and prefabricated building systems.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A background in civil or structural engineering is considered a strong asset.
Additional Information
Work Environment: working safely is a condition of employment. Constant exposure to a construction site environment and regular exposure to weather conditions, excessive noise levels and vibrations. Often work near moving mechanical equipment. Occasionally work in high, precarious positions.
