Server Assistant
Server Assistants support the service team by ensuring all tables are properly set, clean, and fully stocked. With strong floor awareness and in-depth knowledge of menu offerings, they assist with food running and uphold presentation standards to enhance the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Support
- Assist Servers by delivering food promptly and accurately—never auctioning off plates
- Provide informed answers about menu items, beverages, wine, and general restaurant information when needed
- Relay guest feedback or requests to Servers to support a positive and memorable dining experience
Operational Excellence
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections, removing clutter and debris as needed
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure alignment with O&B standards
- Support Hosts and Servers by communicating table turnover and seating opportunities
Setup & Stocking
- Inspect and maintain table settings (mise en place) prior to guest arrival
- Ensure condiments are pre-portioned and cold storage is stocked with necessary items (milk, cream, butter, etc.)
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Empty garbage, change linen bags, and properly dispose of waste and recycling
Teamwork & Additional Duties
- Work collaboratively with the Front of House team to maintain smooth service flow
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Valid mart Serve Certification a requirement
- High attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills
- Ability to take direction and prioritize
- Strong oral communication skills
- High level of product knowledge
- Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and
- Flexible availability for evening, weekends, and holidays.
