The Manager, Total Rewards – Compensation & Analytics plays a key leadership role in the delivery and continuous improvement of Indigo's compensation programs and people analytics capabilities. This role is responsible for managing core compensation processes, ensuring data accuracy, and providing meaningful insights that support business decisions. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards & HR Technology, the incumbent leads the execution of compensation cycles, oversees reporting tools, and partners with HR and business leaders to ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational needs. The role also plays a critical part in educating and enabling HR Business Partners and leaders, fostering confidence and capability in applying compensation principles and tools, and ensuring alignment with Indigo's pay philosophy and practices.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

FUNCTIONAL

Compensation Strategy & Program Management

  • Lead the design and administration of Indigo's base pay, incentive, and recognition programs, including annual and quarterly compensation cycles
  • Oversee job evaluations, market pricing, and salary structure development using survey data and benchmarking tools
  • Act as the SecureSheet administrator for the annual merit and bonus process, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency
  • Provide strategic compensation consulting to HR Business Partners and business leaders
  • Partner with the HR Manager and Talent Acquisition to provide salary recommendations that align with internal equity and market competitiveness
  • Ensure compliance with pay equity, transparency, and employment standards legislation across jurisdictions
  • Ensure all compensation decisions and practices align with Indigo's pay philosophy and governance standards
  • Review and update Total Rewards policies and content on internal platforms (e.g., Our Indigo)

Analytics & Insights

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor compensation trends, workforce metrics, and program effectiveness
  • Lead compensation modelling and scenario planning to support business cases and organizational changes
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Excel, and UKG analytics to drive data-informed decision-making
  • Optimize the use of UKG's BI reporting tool to deliver meaningful data to the business

Governance & Operations

  • Maintain compensation policies, guidelines, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Partner with HRIS to ensure data integrity and system readiness for compensation processes
  • Support internal and external audits related to compensation and pay equity
  • Manage vendor relationships for compensation surveys and tools
  • Oversee the Total Rewards inbox and ensure timely resolution of employee and manager inquiries

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on compensation and analytics
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and HR colleagues on compensation principles and tools
  • Lead the development and delivery of training and upskilling initiatives for HR Business Partners and leaders to build compensation capability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to align rewards with strategy
  • Champion a culture of transparency, fairness, and continuous improvement

  • Develop positive and productive peer relationships
  • Work in a collaborative and constructive manner with team and cross functional partners
  • Support the Director, Total Rewards & HR Technology and working effectively with other members of the HR team to achieve business goals
  • Support HR and cross functional partners as required
  • Maintain strong positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and providers

Qualifications

Qualifications / Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, and HR analytics
  • Strong knowledge of compensation design, job evaluation, and market pricing methodologies
  • Experience with compensation survey tools (e.g., Mercer, WTW) and HRIS platforms (preferably UKG)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL)
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation and pay equity requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; CCP designation is an asset
  • Experience in the retail or customer service industry is an asset
