We are seeking an experienced and passionate Baker to join our team in Windsor, Canada. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of delicious baked goods, ensuring high-quality products, and contributing to our customers' satisfaction.
- Prepare and bake a diverse range of products including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods
- Follow and standardize recipes to maintain consistency in product quality
- Manage daily production schedules and inventory of baked goods
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean work environment
- Create new and innovative recipes to expand our product offerings
- Monitor and maintain the quality of ingredients and finished products
- Operate and maintain baking equipment and tools
- Assist in training and mentoring junior bakers
- Participate in customer service activities as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Baker or in a similar role
- Food Handler certificate (required)
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and industry trends
- Proven ability to produce high-quality baked goods consistently
- Red Seal Certification specializing in Baking
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in using various baking equipment and tools
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
- High school diploma or equivalent
