WHAT'S THE JOB?
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of Support Services, the Shift Coordinator is responsible for delivering course content, documenting training, creating job aids and other materials to ensure that trainees effectively learn the material. They are also responsible for coaching, development and following up with employees during their probationary period. They will also assist the Support Services team with other admin duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Creates and manages Job Postings when a position becomes vacant and once filled updates tracker
- Updates employee schedules as necessary
- Follow up on RTW leaves with absent employees
- Complete People Workbooks (PW's) for any people changes, such as update address, payrates, classification changes etc.
- Review Payroll punches daily to ensure employees are punching in and out correctly
- Approve and assign vacations, LOA's, PEL/ Floater Days and update calendar
- Assign training modules on LMS
- Prepare discipline letters as requested by supervisors using established template letters
- Report all WCB claims as needed using Sphera, ensure modified work is offered to injured worker and follow up is done
- Completes employee statements (when incidents occur) to ensure accuracy of such statements.
- Uploads training records monthly into Sphera
- Scan and uploads sign in sheets as required
- Updates supervisor group on schedule and calendar updates
- Presents shift recognition of a job well done, customer feedback and or passenger compliments.
- Supports weekly on-boarding sessions of new employees.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- At least 3 -5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Comprehensive knowledge of training plans and development
- Knowledge of implementation and facilitation of technical, cleaning operational requirements.
- Ability to assess training objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of skill levels.
- Promotes Health and Safety within the team and raises awareness amongst all the staff of appropriate Health and Safety practices to drive a strong health and Safety culture.
- Always maintains confidentiality in respect of company related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential or sensitive information.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Airport Restricted Access Identification Card (RAIC)
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
